इन्द्र॑स्य॒ वज्र॑ आय॒सो निमि॑श्ल॒ इन्द्र॑स्य बा॒ह्वोर्भूयि॑ष्ठ॒मोजः॑ । शी॒र्षन्निन्द्र॑स्य॒ क्रत॑वो निरे॒क आ॒सन्नेष॑न्त॒ श्रुत्या॑ उपा॒के
indrasya vajra āyaso nimiśla indrasya bāhvorbhūyiṣṭhamojaḥ śīrṣannindrasya kratavo nireka āsanneṣanta śrutyā upāke
Indra’s thunderbolt of iron was minced in a moment; his arms became mightier. On Indra’s head stood the ritual oblation; they approached filled with hearing and with help.
Indra's iron thunderbolt is grasped firmly in his hand, enormous strength resides in his arms; when hegoes forth (to battle), there is ample employment for his head and his mouth, and (his followers) rush near him tohear his commands.
'Tis he who made the lauds his own and boldly drank the Soma juice, He to whom Visnu came striding his three wide steps, as Mitra's statutes ordered it.
