indraṃ taṃ śumbha puruhanmannavase yasya dvitā vidhartari hastāya vajraḥ prati dhāyi darśato maho dive na sūryaḥ
I invoked Indra, the glorious slayer, in whose twofold hands the bolt—vajra—struck; the mighty one hurled the thunderbolt at the radiant day, not the sun.
Puruhanman, honour that Indra for your protection, for in your upholder there is a two-fold might; heholds in his hand (to smite his enemies) the glorious thunderbolt great as the sun in heaven.
We know thee mighty in thy deeds, of mighty bounty, mighty wealth, Mighty in measure, prompt to aid.
