येन॒ वंसा॑म॒ पृत॑नासु॒ शर्ध॑त॒स्तर॑न्तो अ॒र्य आ॒दिशः॑ । स त्वं नो॑ वर्ध॒ प्रय॑सा शचीवसो॒ जिन्वा॒ धियो॑ वसु॒विदः॑
yena vaṃsāma pṛtanāsu śardhatastaranto arya ādiśaḥ sa tvaṃ no vardha prayasā śacīvaso jinvā dhiyo vasuvidaḥ
By which you stirred the clans and roused the chiefs, O noble one, you commanded the hosts. So increase us by effort, O lord of strength, winning for us wealth and keen intelligence.
By which we may escape and destroy in battles our impetuous weapon- aiming enemies; O you who bywisdom establish our rites, bless us with food, prosper our wealth-obtaining offerings.
Agni, made yours by sacrifice, Agni, while holy rites advance; Agni, the first in songs, first with the warrior steed; Agril to win the land for us.
