Indra and Varuna first gave to the seers the thought, word and mind heard. They placed the places which the wise formed—firm in sacrifice—observing austerities and beholding them.
O Indra and Varuṇa, I have seen what you formerly gave to the seers, wisdom, power of song, andfame, and the plural ces which the wise have prepared for themselves, as they spread the web of the sacrifice withholy austerities.
Thou, Hero, hast performed thy hero deeds with might, yea, all with strength, O Strongest One. Maghavan, help us to a stable full of kine, O Thunderer, with wondrous aids.
