नेह भ॒द्रं र॑क्ष॒स्विने॒ नाव॒यै नोप॒या उ॒त । गवे॑ च भ॒द्रं धे॒नवे॑ वी॒राय॑ च श्रवस्य॒ते॑ऽने॒हसो॑ व ऊ॒तयः॑ सुऊ॒तयो॑ व ऊ॒तयः॑
neha bhadraṃ rakṣasvine nāvayai nopayā uta gave ca bhadraṃ dhenave vīrāya ca śravasyate'nehaso va ūtayaḥ suūtayo va ūtayaḥ
Guard for us that which is auspicious in the waters—neither lacking nor wasted; and auspicious for the cows, for the kine, for the hero of the herd; O exalted ones, O heralds, be gracious to us.
Let there not be prosperit here to our powerul (foe), nor to him who threaten or assails us; but let therebe prosperity to our cattle, our kine, and our male offspring desirous of food; your aids are void of harm, your aidsare true aids.
Ill be it for the demons' friend to find us or come near to us. But for the milch-cow be it well, and for the man who strives for fame.
