With force he struck together, he broke and smote with vigour; Indra, for all, set up the trees like conquerors—those he felled as if they were enemies.
By his strength he has overpowered the strength (of his foes), he has crushed thei wrath by hisprowess; all hostile armies have been arrested like trees (immoveable through fear), mighty Indra, by you.
With mightier strength he conquered strength, with energy he crushed their wrath. O Indra, Strong in youth, all those who sought the fray bent and bowed down to thee like trees.
