Sole ruler of this wide world, with royal might and Shachi’s sway and all‑opening glories, drink the midday Soma of the sacrificers, O strong one.
You shine the sole sovereign of this world, Indra, lord of rites, with all your protections; slayer of Vṛtra, irreproachable wielder of the thunderbolt, drink of the Soma at the mid-day solemnity.
Sole Ruler, thou art Sovran of this world of life, O Indra, Lord of Strength, with all thy saving help.
