Like falcons they proceeded, bearing the oblation for sacrifice, soma in the forest; they went to the great lord as cows. With the company of dawn, of Ushas, of Surya — threefold turned, O Ashvins, bring it hither.

You hasten like two falcons to the offerer of the libation, you alight upon the effused Soma as twobuffaloes (hasten to water), united with the dawn and with Sūrya, come, Aśvins, by the triple path.

Ye fly to our oblation like a pair of hawks; like buffaloes ye seek the Soma we have shed. Accordant, of one mind with Surya and with Dawn, come thrice, O Asvins, to our home.
