haṃsāviva patatho adhvagāviva somaṃ sutaṃ mahiṣevāva gacchathaḥ sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca trirvartiryātamaśvinā
Like swans they proceeded, bearing soma in the forest; they went to the great lord as cows. With the company of dawn, of Ushas, of Surya — threefold turned, O Ashvins, bring it hither.
As two geese, as two travellers, as two buffaloes (hasten to water), you alight, Aśvins, upon the effusedSoma; united with the dawn and with Sūrya, come, Aśvins, by the triple path.
Ye fly like swans, like those who travel on their way; like buffaloes ye seek the Soma we have shed. Accordant, of one mind with Surya and with Dawn, come thrice, O Asvins, to our home.
