hāridraveva patatho vanedupa somaṃ sutaṃ mahiṣevāva gacchathaḥ sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca trirvartiryātamaśvinā
Like turmeric they proceeded, bearing soma in the forest; they went to the great lord as cows. With the company of dawn, of Ushas, of Surya — threefold turned, O Ashvins, bring it hither.
You alight upon the effused Soma as the Hāridravā plural nges unto the water; you fall upon it like twobuffaloes (plural nging into a pool); united with the dawn and with Sūrya, come, Aśvins, by the triple path.
Ye fly as starlings fly unto the forest trees; like buffaloes ye seek the Soma we have shed. Accordant, of one mind with Surya and with Dawn, come thrice, O Asvins, to our home.
