Protect (us), singers of fame, O Indra, grant me honor. He who mingled with the bright one, companion of the son, with thunderbolt, the chariot-born, golden‑armed.
Drink, Medhyātithi, and in the exhilaration of the draught sing to Indra, to him who has harnessed hishorses, who, when the Soma is poured out, is present, the wielder of the thunderbolt, whose chariot is of golḍ
Medhyatithi, to Indra sing, drink of the juice to make thee glad. Close-knit to his Bay Steeds, bolt-armed, beside the juice is he: his chariot is of gold.
