We, with wrapped‑together hymns, laud the beneficial ones; the Soma‑drinkers and Varuna we invoke, those kindled around the sacrificial fire.

Bearing the clipped sacred grass, offering in due order the (sacrificial) food, presenting the effusedSoma, and having the fires kindled, we invoke you, Varuṇa, (and the rest), as did Manus.

We who have trimmed the grass for you, and set the banquet in array, And pressed the Soma, call you, Varuina, like men, with sacrificial fires aflame.
