Make for him undying life and also a fortress and a safe refuge. This life, the bright Śani, may it not perish, but abide for us as a protector.

You enable him (Manu) to proceed by an unobstructed road; you grant him easy access to difficultpasses; may the weapon (of the foe) be far from him, and, inflicting no injury, perish.

E'en on the plain for him ye make a sloping path, an easy way where road is none: And far away from him the ineffectual shaft must vanish, shot at him in vain.
