tāviddoṣā tā uṣasi śubhaspatī tā yāmanrudravartanī mā no martāya ripave vājinīvasū paro rudrāvati khyatam
These are the blemishes, these are the dawns, O auspicious-spouse, these are the paths that drive Rudra away; may not my thought go to the foe — O vehicles of strength, renowned Rudra roars beyond.
We adore those lords of water, leaders on the road of battle, in the evening, at dawn, and at mid-day;therefore, Rudras who are rich in food, give us not up hereafter to a mortal adversary; rudravartanī : yuddherodanaśilamārgau stūyamānamārgau vā].
Ye who are Lords of splendour, ye whose paths are red, at eve, at mom, at sacrifice, Give us not utterly as prey to mortal foe, ye Rudras, Lords of ample wealth.
