प्रास्मै॑ गाय॒त्रम॑र्चत वा॒वातु॒र्यः पु॑रंद॒रः । याभिः॑ का॒ण्वस्योप॑ ब॒र्हिरा॒सदं॒ यास॑द्व॒ज्री भि॒नत्पुरः॑
prāsmai gāyatramarcata vāvāturyaḥ puraṃdaraḥ yābhiḥ kāṇvasyopa barhirāsadaṃ yāsadvajrī bhinatpuraḥ
May Gayatri protect him; may Purandara guard him; by whose rites Kanva’s offspring have driven away the hostile forces, shattering the city.
Raise the sacred chant to him who is the destroyer of the cities (of the foes) of his worshipper,(induced) by which may the thunderer come to sit down at the sacrifice of the sons of Kaṇva, and destroy thecities (of their enemies).
Sing out the psalm to him who breaks down castles for his faithful friend, Verses to bring the Thunderer to destroy the forts and sit on Kanva's sacred grass.
