ज॒ज्ञा॒नः सोमं॒ सह॑से पपाथ॒ प्र ते॑ मा॒ता म॑हि॒मान॑मुवाच । एन्द्र॑ पप्राथो॒र्व१॒॑न्तरि॑क्षं यु॒धा दे॒वेभ्यो॒ वरि॑वश्चकर्थ
jajñānaḥ somaṃ sahase papātha pra te mātā mahimānamuvāca endra paprāthorva1ntarikṣaṃ yudhā devebhyo varivaścakartha
The knower bore the Soma with effort; may our mother, the great, speak the glory. Indra struck forth to the intermediate sky in battle; he performed deeds for the gods and made waters flow.
As soon as born, Indra you have drunk the Soma for your invigoration; your mother (Aditi) proclaimedyour greatness; hence you have filled the vast firmament. Indra, you have gained in battle treasure for the godṣ
Thou, newly-born, for strength didst drink the Soma; the Mother told thee of thy future greatness. O Indra, thou hast filled mid-air's wide region, and given the Gods by battle room and freedom.
