They who conquered Indra and Vāyu, who subdued the gods, the Aryas — slaying Vr̥tra with heroes, the bold ones fought with men and friends.
Overcoming our enemies in war by our warriors, may we be the slayers of foes, through the pious(worshippers) who are the exhilarators of Indra and Vāyu, the reciters of divine hymns, the destroyers of theadversary.
Near to the Gods and making Indra joyful, devout and ofFering precious gifts to Vayu, Allied with princes, smiting down the hostile, may we with heroes conquer foes in battle.
