O mighty one, you stood firm in this great earth; you who restrain and make the rains—did you not set in motion twofold the stars and establish the far‑reaching earth?
Permanent in greatness are the births of that Varuṇa who propped up the vast heaven and earth, whoappointed to (their) two-fold (task) the glorious sun and beautiful constellations, who spread out the earth.
WISE, verily, are creatures through his greatness who stayed ever, spacious heaven and earth asunder; Who urged the high and mighty sky to motion, the Star of old, and spread the earth before him.
