प्रति॑ त्वा दुहितर्दिव॒ उषो॑ जी॒रा अ॑भुत्स्महि । या वह॑सि पु॒रु स्पा॒र्हं व॑नन्वति॒ रत्नं॒ न दा॒शुषे॒ मयः॑
prati tvā duhitardiva uṣo jīrā abhutsmahi yā vahasi puru spārhaṃ vananvati ratnaṃ na dāśuṣe mayaḥ
May the daughter of dawn, weakening, be born for us. She who carries manlike brightness wandering in the forest—may she not give away the jewel of my strength.
May we, prompt adorers, awaken you, Uṣas, daughter of heaven, bountiful divinity, who bring ampleand desirable (wealth) and happiness, like riches, to the donor (of the oblation).
Promptly we woke to welcome thee, O Usas, Daughter of the Sky, Thee, Bounteous One, who bringest all we long to have, and to the offerer health and wealth.
