ए॒ता उ॒ त्याः प्रत्य॑दृश्रन्पु॒रस्ता॒ज्ज्योति॒र्यच्छ॑न्तीरु॒षसो॑ विभा॒तीः । अजी॑जन॒न्सूर्यं॑ य॒ज्ञम॒ग्निम॑पा॒चीनं॒ तमो॑ अगा॒दजु॑ष्टम्
etā u tyāḥ pratyadṛśranpurastājjyotiryacchantīruṣaso vibhātīḥ ajījanansūryaṃ yajñamagnimapācīnaṃ tamo agādajuṣṭam
These rising lights were seen first of all; the shining ones stood before the east. They brought the sacrificed Sun, the holy Agni who cooked sacrifice, dispelling the darkness that had bound the ritual.
These luminous (beams of the) dawn are beheld in the east diffusing light; (the dawn) enger sacrifice,fire; the odious glooms, descending, disappear.
Apparent eastward are those lights of Morning, sending out lustre, as they rise, around them. She hath brought forth Sun, sacrifice, and Agni, and far away hath fled detested darkness.
