तानीदहा॑नि बहु॒लान्या॑स॒न्या प्रा॒चीन॒मुदि॑ता॒ सूर्य॑स्य । यतः॒ परि॑ जा॒र इ॑वा॒चर॒न्त्युषो॑ ददृ॒क्षे न पुन॑र्य॒तीव॑
tānīdahāni bahulānyāsanyā prācīnamuditā sūryasya yataḥ pari jāra ivācarantyuṣo dadṛkṣe na punaryatīva
These many old suns rose up in those days; because I saw them grow old and move about, yet never return again.
Many are the days that have dawned before the rising of the sun, on which you, Uṣas, have beenbeheld like a wife going to an inconstant husband, and not like one deserting him.
Great is, in truth, the number of the Mornings which were aforetime at the Sun's uprising. Since thou, O Dawn, hast been beheld repairing as to thy love, as one no more to leave him.
