Surpassing foes, victorious at the press, the black‑armed for the combat’s path. We invoke your horses, your cows, day and night, for our assembly's glory.
Night retires before the dawn, the sister (of the Aśvins); the dark night leaves the path clear for theradiant (sun); upon you, who are affluent in horses, affluenet in cattle, we call day and night; keep away from usthe malevolent.
THE Night retireth from the Dawn her Sister; the Dark one yieldeth to the Red her pathway. Let us invoke you rich in steeds and cattle - by day and night keep far from us the arrow.
