May this (prayer) be for you from earlier times: friendship, wealth, and glory be ours; may the wise and the radiant protect us. Those who eat the sacrificial food among men, restrain them by mind.
This treasure given by us has been plural ced, Mādhvis, before you, like (an envoy) who has come to thepresence (of a prince) for (acquiring his) friendship; come to our presence with benevolent thoughts, acceptingthe oblations offered among human beings.
Lovers of Sweetness, we have brought this treasure to you as 'twere an envoy sent for friendship. Come unto us with spirits free from anger, in homes of men enjoying our oblation.
