ए॒ष स्तोमो॑ वरुण मित्र॒ तुभ्यं॒ सोमः॑ शु॒क्रो न वा॒यवे॑ऽयामि । अ॒वि॒ष्टं धियो॑ जिगृ॒तं पुरं॑धीर्यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः
eṣa stomo varuṇa mitra tubhyaṃ somaḥ śukro na vāyave'yāmi aviṣṭaṃ dhiyo jigṛtaṃ puraṃdhīryūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
This hymn to Varuna and Mitra is for you; Soma, bright one, I am not of the airy spaces. Enliven our minds, take up the city’s strong thought: protect us always with well-being.
Varuṇa and Mitra, this praise, pure as the Soma libation, has been offered to you, and also, Aryaman,(to you); protect our rites; be awake to our praises; and do you ever cherish us with blessings.
To you this laud, O Varuna and Mitra is offered like bright Soma juice to Vayu. Favour our songs of praise, wake thought and spirit. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
