यद्गो॒पाव॒ददि॑तिः॒ शर्म॑ भ॒द्रं मि॒त्रो यच्छ॑न्ति॒ वरु॑णः सु॒दासे॑ । तस्मि॒न्ना तो॒कं तन॑यं॒ दधा॑ना॒ मा क॑र्म देव॒हेळ॑नं तुरासः
yadgopāvadaditiḥ śarma bhadraṃ mitro yacchanti varuṇaḥ sudāse tasminnā tokaṃ tanayaṃ dadhānā mā karma devaheḷanaṃ turāsaḥ
Whatever glory Mitra and Varuṇa grant, that is splendid and good; do not make an inferior offspring for us, O giver of strength, nor a sinful ritual for the gods.
Including our sons and grandsons in that preserving and auspicious felicity which Aditi, Mitra andVaruṇa confer upon the liberal donor (of the oblation), may we never, acting precipitately, incur the displeasureof the deities.
When Aditi and Varuna and Mitra, like guardians, give Sudas their friendly shelter, Granting him sons and lineal succession, let us not, bold ones! move the Gods to anger.
