ime radhraṃ cinmaruto junanti bhṛmiṃ cidyathā vasavo juṣanta apa bādhadhvaṃ vṛṣaṇastamāṃsi dhatta viśvaṃ tanayaṃ tokamasme
These Maruts tear apart the fierce, they bind the buzzing like bees; Vasus drink up the thunder. Strike down the bulls, put forth the whole offspring—make this bolt mine.
These, Maruts, encourage the prosperous man; they encourage the (poor) wanderer; they, as Vasus, are plural ased (with you); showerers (of benefits), dissipate the darkness; grant us many sons and grandsons.
These Maruts rouse even the poor and needy: the Vasus love him as an active champion. Drive to a distance, O ye Bulls, the darkness: give us full store of children and descendants.
