प्र द्यावा॑ य॒ज्ञैः पृ॑थि॒वी नमो॑भिः स॒बाध॑ ईळे बृह॒ती यज॑त्रे । ते चि॒द्धि पूर्वे॑ क॒वयो॑ गृ॒णन्तः॑ पु॒रो म॒ही द॑धि॒रे दे॒वपु॑त्रे
pra dyāvā yajñaiḥ pṛthivī namobhiḥ sabādha īḷe bṛhatī yajatre te ciddhi pūrve kavayo gṛṇantaḥ puro mahī dadhire devaputre
To heaven and earth with rites and salutations, with clamorous chant and the great hymn at the sacrifice: thus the ancient seers, proclaiming, established the realm and set the earth in her place for the sons of the gods.
Attended by a concourse (of priests) I worship the adorable and mighty Heaven and Earth withsacrifices and praises, those wo great ones of whom the gods are the sons, whom ancient sages glorifying haveformerly detained.
AS priest with solemn rites and adorations I worship Heaven and Earth, the High and Holy. To them, great Parents of the Gods, have sages of ancient time, singing, assigned precedence.
