द॒धि॒क्रावा॑ प्रथ॒मो वा॒ज्यर्वाग्रे॒ रथा॑नां भवति प्रजा॒नन् । सं॒वि॒दा॒न उ॒षसा॒ सूर्ये॑णादि॒त्येभि॒र्वसु॑भि॒रङ्गि॑रोभिः
dadhikrāvā prathamo vājyarvāgre rathānāṃ bhavati prajānan saṃvidāna uṣasā sūryeṇādityebhirvasubhiraṅgirobhiḥ
The first dadhikrā became foremost among the chariot-leaders, the revealer of offspring. With the knowledge imparted by dawn, sun and Ādityas, by wealth-bringing ones and the mountain-peaks, establish the rite.
Dadhikrāvan, the swift steed, the first (of horses), knowing (his office), is in the front of the chariots (ofthe gods), consentient with Uṣas, with Sūrya, wiḥ the Ādityas, with the Vasus, with the Aṅgirasas.
Foremost is Dadhikravan, vigorous courser; in forefront of the cars, his way he knoweth, Closely allied with Surya and with Morning, Adityas, and Angirases, and Vasus.
