dadhikrāmu namasā bodhayanta udīrāṇā yajñamupaprayantaḥ iḷāṃ devīṃ barhiṣi sādayanto'śvinā viprā suhavā huvema
With reverent hymns they called the dadhikrās (clarified-butter-bearers), advancing the sacrificial oblation. They set the offering of the goddess on the ritual grass; the Ashvins and wise priests we invoked together.
Arousing and animating Dadhikrā, proceeding diligently with the sacrifice; seating the divine Iḷā onthe sacred grass, let us invoke the intelligent and worthily-invoked Aśvins.
When, rising, to the sacrifice we hasten, awaking Dadhikras with adorations. Seating on sacred grass the Goddess Ila. let us invoke the sage swift-hearing Asvins.
