प्र य॒ज्ञ ए॑तु॒ हेत्वो॒ न सप्ति॒रुद्य॑च्छध्वं॒ सम॑नसो घृ॒ताचीः॑ । स्तृ॒णी॒त ब॒र्हिर॑ध्व॒राय॑ सा॒धूर्ध्वा शो॒चींषि॑ देव॒यून्य॑स्थुः
pra yajña etu hetvo na saptirudyacchadhvaṃ samanaso ghṛtācīḥ stṛṇīta barhiradhvarāya sādhūrdhvā śocīṃṣi devayūnyasthuḥ
For the sacrifice come the priests; invoke the hymn, the sevenfold call, the ghee of devotion. Bring forth the oblation beyond the grass, the sacred upward chant; the gods remain heedful.
Let the sacrifice proceed like a swift course (tot he gods); elevate, (priests), with one occurred, yourladles, charged with butter; spread for the solemnity the sacred grass;le the flames (of the burnt-offering) to thegods ascend on high.
Let sacrifice proceed like some fleet courser: with one accord lift ye on high the ladles. Strew sacred grass meet for the solenm service: bright flames that love the Gods have mounted upward.
