य॒दा वी॒रस्य॑ रे॒वतो॑ दुरो॒णे स्यो॑न॒शीरति॑थिरा॒चिके॑तत् । सुप्री॑तो अ॒ग्निः सुधि॑तो॒ दम॒ आ स वि॒शे दा॑ति॒ वार्य॒मिय॑त्यै
yadā vīrasya revato duroṇe syonaśīratithirāciketat suprīto agniḥ sudhito dama ā sa viśe dāti vāryamiyatyai
When the hero Revata stood on the high ridge, the strong-shelled one fixed his dwelling. Pleasing Agni, with bright mind, gave the bond and lent the waters for the offering.
When Agni, reposing at his ease in the dwelling of the liberal worshipper, is welcomed as a guest, thussuitable plural ced in the hall of sacrifice, he gives well-plural ased, desirable (wealth) to the people who approach him.
What time the Guest hath made himself apparent, at ease reclining in the rich man's dwelling, Agni, well-pleased, well-placed within the chamber gives to a house like this wealth worth the choosing.
