त्वम॑ग्ने वनुष्य॒तो नि पा॑हि॒ त्वमु॑ नः सहसावन्नव॒द्यात् । सं त्वा॑ ध्वस्म॒न्वद॒भ्ये॑तु॒ पाथः॒ सं र॒यिः स्पृ॑ह॒याय्यः॑ सह॒स्री
tvamagne vanuṣyato ni pāhi tvamu naḥ sahasāvannavadyāt saṃ tvā dhvasmanvadabhyetu pāthaḥ saṃ rayiḥ spṛhayāyyaḥ sahasrī
You, Agni, protect us from the forest-dweller; be near us in thousands. May the paths come to you as support; the wealth and the king’s longing be allied with the thousandfold.
Do you, Agni, defend us against, the malignant; do you, who are endowed with strengt, (preserve us)from sin; may the (sacrificial) food come to you free from defect; may the riches that we desire come to us bythousands.
Guard us from him who would assail us, Agni; preserve us O thou Victor, from dishonour. Here let the place of darkening come upon thee: may wealth be ours, desirable, in thousands.
