न॒हि ग्रभा॒यार॑णः सु॒शेवो॒ऽन्योद॑र्यो॒ मन॑सा॒ मन्त॒वा उ॑ । अधा॑ चि॒दोकः॒ पुन॒रित्स ए॒त्या नो॑ वा॒ज्य॑भी॒षाळे॑तु॒ नव्यः॑
nahi grabhāyāraṇaḥ suśevo'nyodaryo manasā mantavā u adhā cidokaḥ punaritsa etyā no vājyabhīṣāḷetu navyaḥ
For the woodsman guards the womb, another tends the body with mind and counsel. Above is the conscious space; renew it for us; may the swift, strong stallion come to our aid.
One not acquitting debts, although worthy of regard, yet begotten of another, is not to be contemplatedeven in the mind (as fit) for acceptance; for verily he returns to his own house; therefore let there come to us (ason) new- born, possessed of food, victorious over foes.
Unwelcome for adoption is the stranger, one to be thought of as another's offipring, Though grown familiar by continual presence. May our strong hero come, freshly triumphant.
