May the prosperous ones be gracious to us; gods be present in the oblations, with measured gifts and heaven’s riches. Protecting us, ward off the hostile wolf; may our youthful band be placated.

May the Vājins, with slackened speed, bringing excellent food, be (disposed) for our happiness, uponour invocations at the worship of the gods; destroying the murderer, the robber, the rākṣasas, and keepingfrom us ancient maladies.

Bless us the Vajins when we call, while slowly they move, strong Singers, to the Gods' assembly. Crushing the wolf, the serpent, and the demons, may they completely banish all affliction.
