शं नः॒ सूर्य॑ उरु॒चक्षा॒ उदे॑तु॒ शं न॒श्चत॑स्रः प्र॒दिशो॑ भवन्तु । शं नः॒ पर्व॑ता ध्रु॒वयो॑ भवन्तु॒ शं नः॒ सिन्ध॑वः॒ शमु॑ स॒न्त्वापः॑
śaṃ naḥ sūrya urucakṣā udetu śaṃ naścatasraḥ pradiśo bhavantu śaṃ naḥ parvatā dhruvayo bhavantu śaṃ naḥ sindhavaḥ śamu santvāpaḥ
May the Sun with abundant light rise for us; may the four quarters be auspicious; may the mountains be steadfast for us; may the rivers be peaceful and beneficial.
May the wide-seeing sun rise (for) our happines; may the four quarters of the horizon (exist for) ourfelicity; may the firm-set mountains be (for) our happiness; may the rivers, may the waters, be (diffused) for ourhappiness.
May the far-seeing Sun rise up to bless us: be the four Quarters of the sky auspicious. Auspicious be the firmly-seated Mountains, auspicious be the Rivers and the Waters.
