Rise not to the north, nor to the south; may minds be stedfast. They who slumbered have grown foolish. Stand up: summon the mighty, for men famed afar are Vasishtha's.
The white-complexioned accomplishers of holy ceremonies, wearing the lock of hair on the right side, have afforded me delight, when, rising up I call the leaders (of rites) to the sacred grass; the Vasiṣṭhas, (mysons) should never be far from me.
THESE who wear hair-knots on the right, the movers of holy thought, white-robed, have won me over.
