निर्यत्पू॒तेव॒ स्वधि॑तिः॒ शुचि॒र्गात्स्वया॑ कृ॒पा त॒न्वा॒३॒॑ रोच॑मानः । आ यो मा॒त्रोरु॒शेन्यो॒ जनि॑ष्ट देव॒यज्या॑य सु॒क्रतुः॑ पाव॒कः
niryatpūteva svadhitiḥ śucirgātsvayā kṛpā tanvā3 rocamānaḥ ā yo mātroruśenyo janiṣṭa devayajyāya sukratuḥ pāvakaḥ
Pure is the rite, the hymn burning like the well‑cleansed seat; pity with its own strength gloriously shines. He who devotes himself with maternal fervor to the sacred rite, O Agni, the bright purifier, obtains the well‑made sacrificial act.
When the bright Agni, radiant with his own diffusive lustre, issues (from the touchwood) like asharpened axe; and he who is desirable, the doer of great deeds, the purifier, is born of his two parents; (heappears) for the worship of the gods.
When forth he cometh, like an axe new-sharpened, pure in his form, resplendent in his body, Sprung, sought with eager longing, from his Parents, for the Gods' worship, Sage and Purifier:
