ya indra śuṣmo maghavante asti śikṣā sakhibhyaḥ puruhūta nṛbhyaḥ tvaṃ hi dṛḷhā maghavanvicetā apā vṛdhi parivṛtaṃ na rādhaḥ
He who praises Indra with feeble words is as a teacher to comrades and priests to men. Thou art indeed the strong, O mighty Indra; restrain not the streams; do not be hindered from growing and encircling.
Indra, who are the invoked of many, give to those men who are your friends that strength which,Maghavan, is thine; you, Maghavan (has forced open) the firm (shut, gates of cities); discover, discrimiantor (oftruth), the treasure now concealed.
Grant, Indra Maghavan, invoked of many, to these my friends the strength which thou possessest. Thou, Maghavan, hast rent strong places open: unclose for us, Wise God, thy hidden bounty.
