इन्द्रं॒ नरो॑ ने॒मधि॑ता हवन्ते॒ यत्पार्या॑ यु॒नज॑ते॒ धिय॒स्ताः । शूरो॒ नृषा॑ता॒ शव॑सश्चका॒न आ गोम॑ति व्र॒जे भ॑जा॒ त्वं नः॑
indraṃ naro nemadhitā havante yatpāryā yunajate dhiyastāḥ śūro nṛṣātā śavasaścakāna ā gomati vraje bhajā tvaṃ naḥ
Men call Indra the ruler who is invested when they perform the sacrifice, by whom the thoughtful are yoked. The brave, the slayers of enemies, who carry the spoil, go with cattle-streaming might—be thou our protector.
Men invoke Indra in battle when those actions which lead to victory are performed; do you who arehero, the benefactor of man, the desirer of prowess, plural ce us in possession of pastures abounding with cattle.
MEN call on Indra in the armed encounter that he may make the hymns they sing decisive. Hero, rejoicing in thy might, in combat give us a portion of the stall of cattle,
