ukthaukthe soma indraṃ mamāda nīthenīthe maghavānaṃ sutāsaḥ yadīṃ sabādhaḥ pitaraṃ na putrāḥ samānadakṣā avase havante
In the hymn they praised Soma and Indra, the mighty-born, the sons; whether the assembled ones or the fathers or the well-skilled sons perform the rites, they bring offerings.
The Soma effused with reiterated prayer delights Indra; the effused juices, (offered) with repeatedpraise, (exhilarate) Maghavan; therefore, (the priests), combining together and making like exertion, invoke Indrafor protection, as sons (apply) to a father.
At every laud the Soma gladdens Indra: pressed juices please him as each psalm is chanted, What time the priests with one united effort call him to aid, as sons invoke their father.
