भी॒मो वि॑वे॒षायु॑धेभिरेषा॒मपां॑सि॒ विश्वा॒ नर्या॑णि वि॒द्वान् । इन्द्रः॒ पुरो॒ जर्हृ॑षाणो॒ वि दू॑धो॒द्वि वज्र॑हस्तो महि॒ना ज॑घान
bhīmo viveṣāyudhebhireṣāmapāṃsi viśvā naryāṇi vidvān indraḥ puro jarhṛṣāṇo vi dūdhodvi vajrahasto mahinā jaghāna
Terrible in battle, you searched these waters; all peoples know you. Indra, before the city you overcame the roaring ones; with mighty vajra-hand you smote the great serpent and brought it low.
The formidable (Indra), knowing all actions beneficial to man, intimidated those (asuras) by hisweapons; Indra, exuling shook their cities; armed with his thunderbolt he slew them in his might.
Skilled in all manly deeds the God terrific hath with his weapons mastered these opponents. Indra in rapturous joy shook down their castles he slew them in his might, the Thunder-wielder.
