प्र य॑न्ति य॒ज्ञं वि॒पय॑न्ति ब॒र्हिः सो॑म॒मादो॑ वि॒दथे॑ दु॒ध्रवा॑चः । न्यु॑ भ्रियन्ते य॒शसो॑ गृ॒भादा दू॒रउ॑पब्दो॒ वृष॑णो नृ॒षाचः॑
pra yanti yajñaṃ vipayanti barhiḥ somamādo vidathe dudhravācaḥ nyu bhriyante yaśaso gṛbhādā dūraupabdo vṛṣaṇo nṛṣācaḥ
They advance the sacrifice, they spread the sacred grass; the bounteous, the invoker pours the Soma, the clear-voiced spoke. They are not carried off—fame does not depart from the fortified house; the cattle are guarded, the kine remain.
They repair to the sacrifice, they strew the sacred grass; the (grinding) stones at the ceremony are ofdifficulty suppressed noise; famous priests, whose voices are heard far off, bring the stones from the interior ofthe dwelling.
On to the rite they move, the grass they scatter, these Soma-drinkers eloquent in synod. Hither, for men to grasp, are brought the press-stones, far-thundering, famous, strong, that wait on heroes.
