I place this deity, the cow-protector, near the gomukha; Indra spoke at the knee. You are the awakener, Haryashva, made us aware through sacrifices; awaken our hymn in these riches.
Bright sacrificial food mixed with curds and milk has been poured out; Indra delights in it from his birth;lord of bay horses, we wake you up with sacrifices, acknowledge our praises in the exhilaration of the Soma.
PRESSED is the juice divine with milk commingled: thereto hath Indra ever been accustomed. We wake thee, Lord of Bays, with sacrifices: mark this our laud in the wild joy of Soma.
