नू चि॒त्स भ्रे॑षते॒ जनो॒ न रे॑ष॒न्मनो॒ यो अ॑स्य घो॒रमा॒विवा॑सात् । य॒ज्ञैर्य इन्द्रे॒ दध॑ते॒ दुवां॑सि॒ क्षय॒त्स रा॒य ऋ॑त॒पा ऋ॑ते॒जाः
nū citsa bhreṣate jano na reṣanmano yo asya ghoramāvivāsāt yajñairya indre dadhate duvāṃsi kṣayatsa rāya ṛtapā ṛtejāḥ
Surely the folk rejoices not who are without mind; he whom dreadful might has made to totter — by sacrifices Indra sets forth the twofold streams, destroys decay, the king by right and splendor.
He who devotes his mind to the terrible Indra never falls (from his condition), nor will he perish; theprotector of sacred rites, the progeny of sacrifice, bestows riches on him who offers to Indra praises and prayerswith sacrifices.
The people falter not, nor suffer sorrow, who win themselves this God's terrific spirit. He who with sacrifices worships Indra is lord of wealth, law-born and law's protector.
