Four are the gifts for the priest’s seat as I commanded: the thin ones in a single place. Straight-risen ones, earth-borne, Sudāsa’s possessors bear the milking-cows to the pasture with song.
Four (horses), having golden trappings, going steadily on a difficult road, celebrated on the earth, theexcellent and acceptable gifts (made) to me by Sudāsa, the son of Paijavana, bear me as a son (to obtain) foodand progeny.
Gift of Paijavana, four horses bear me in foremost place, trained steeds with pearl to deck them. Sudas's brown steeds, firmly-stepping, carry me and my son for progeny and glory.
