अ॒र्धं वी॒रस्य॑ शृत॒पाम॑नि॒न्द्रं परा॒ शर्ध॑न्तं नुनुदे अ॒भि क्षाम् । इन्द्रो॑ म॒न्युं म॑न्यु॒म्यो॑ मिमाय भे॒जे प॒थो व॑र्त॒निं पत्य॑मानः
ardhaṃ vīrasya śaṛtapāmanindraṃ parā śardhantaṃ nunude abhi kṣām indro manyuṃ manyumyo mimāya bheje patho vartaniṃ patyamānaḥ
Half the hero’s might was held in his hand; Indra, urging onward, called him to pardon. Indra watered many Manus and upheld the path, protecting the traveler.
Indra has scattered over the earth the hostile rival of the hero (Sudāsa), the senior of Indra, theappropriator of the oblation; Indra has baffled the wrath of the wratfhful enemy, and the (foe) advancing on theway (against Sudāsa) has taken the path of flight.
The hero's side who drank the dressed oblation, Indra's denier, far o'er earth he scattered. Indra brought down the fierce destroyer's fury. He gave them various roads, the path's Controller.
