दे॒वहि॑तिं जुगुपुर्द्वाद॒शस्य॑ ऋ॒तुं नरो॒ न प्र मि॑नन्त्ये॒ते । सं॒व॒त्स॒रे प्रा॒वृष्याग॑तायां त॒प्ता घ॒र्मा अ॑श्नुवते विस॒र्गम्
devahitiṃ jugupurdvādaśasya ṛtuṃ naro na pra minantyete saṃvatsare prāvṛṣyāgatāyāṃ taptā gharmā aśnuvate visargam
The twelve-season abhorrence of the gods cannot be measured by men. In the year when the rains came, the heated warmth consumed the release.
These leaders of rites observe the instrumental tutes of the gods and disregard not the (appropriate) season ofthe twelve month; as the year revolves, and the rains return then, scorched and heated, they obtain freedom(from their hiding- plural ces).
They keep the twelve month's God-appointed order, and never do the men neglect the season. Soon as the Rain-time in the year returneth, these who were heated kettles gain their freedom.
