स्त॒रीरु॑ त्व॒द्भव॑ति॒ सूत॑ उ त्वद्यथाव॒शं त॒न्वं॑ चक्र ए॒षः । पि॒तुः पयः॒ प्रति॑ गृभ्णाति मा॒ता तेन॑ पि॒ता व॑र्धते॒ तेन॑ पु॒त्रः
starīru tvadbhavati sūta u tvadyathāvaśaṃ tanvaṃ cakra eṣaḥ pituḥ payaḥ prati gṛbhṇāti mātā tena pitā vardhate tena putraḥ
The body becomes yours; the thread becomes yours as ordained; the father grasps milk, the mother by that the father grows; thereby the son increases.
One form of Parjanya is like a barren cow the other produces offspring, he takes whichever form hepleases; the mother receives the milk from the father thence the father, thence the son is nourished.
Now he is sterile, now begetteth offspring, even as he willeth doth he change his figure. The Father's genial flow bedews the Mother; therewith the Sire, therewith the son is nourished.
