किमित्ते॑ विष्णो परि॒चक्ष्यं॑ भू॒त्प्र यद्व॑व॒क्षे शि॑पिवि॒ष्टो अ॑स्मि । मा वर्पो॑ अ॒स्मदप॑ गूह ए॒तद्यद॒न्यरू॑पः समि॒थे ब॒भूथ॑
kimitte viṣṇo paricakṣyaṃ bhūtpra yadvavakṣe śipiviṣṭo asmi mā varpo asmadapa gūha etadyadanyarūpaḥ samithe babhūtha
What then, Vishnu, shall I declare about what has been born? I have accepted this seat. Do not cast me from our cave if another shape arises like this to be.
What is to be proclaimed, Viṣṇu, of you, when you save. I am Śipiviṣṭa? Conceal not from us yourreal form, although you have engaged under a different form in battle.
What was there to be blamed in thee, O Visnu, when thou declaredst, I am Sipivista? Hide not this form from us, nor keep it secret, since thou didst wear another shape in battle.
