वि च॑क्रमे पृथि॒वीमे॒ष ए॒तां क्षेत्रा॑य॒ विष्णु॒र्मनु॑षे दश॒स्यन् । ध्रु॒वासो॑ अस्य की॒रयो॒ जना॑स उरुक्षि॒तिं सु॒जनि॑मा चकार
vi cakrame pṛthivīmeṣa etāṃ kṣetrāya viṣṇurmanuṣe daśasyan dhruvāso asya kīrayo janāsa urukṣitiṃ sujanimā cakāra
Thus they measured this earth for the realm of men; Vishnu set it, making the tenfold. Its fame became lasting; people and folk he established for firm prosperity and noble sons.
This Viṣṇu traversed the earth for a dwelling which he was desirous of giving to his eulogist; firm arethe people who are his praisers; he who is the engenderer of good has made a spacious dwelling (for hisworshippers).
Over this earth with mighty step strode Visnu, ready to give it for a home to Manu. In him the humble people trust for safety: he, nobly born, hath made them spacious dwellings.
